Register Your Team Now!

Nor – Cal lacrosse presents the 87th indoor lacrosse league for High School Varsity & Junior Varsity players. We will be playing at the Bladium Sports Club, a centrally located and easily accessible facility in Alameda. There will be three  high school divisions  A, B & C league, each with 6 teams in them (JV Teams will automatically be in the C league). Team spots are going quickly and will not last long. There are not many spots so register your team NOW! Last year we had over 500 players and had to turn players & teams away. Because of quality control we will limit the league to 20 teams that means we will have 8 less teams this year so sign up early.

High School Teams:
Indoor teams will be made of players from the same high school program or geographic area. If you play for a specific team in the regular season you will be on that same indoor team unless you request otherwise. At the current time we expect to have high school players from the following programs to form teams: Acalanes, Campolindo, College Prep., Berkeley A & B, Lick, Leland, Marin Catholic, Menlo, Miramonte, Monte Vista, San Ramon, Foot Hill, O’Dowd, Palo Alto, Piedmont, St. Ignatius and University. If your field team does not enter an indoor team, we will place you on an open team (space is limited on open teams). Please check with your coach or team parent to see if you are entering an indoor team. All teams may have open players on them if there roster is not full.

If you would like to play, please fill out the registration forms and mail them with your $125 check payable to Nor – Cal Lacrosse TODAY! Mail to: Nor-Cal Lacrosse 2145 Greenwich St. San Francisco, CA 94123.

Save $25 and register early! There will be a $25 late registration fee for all players that register after September 1st.

There are NO refunds.

How large are the teams?
Each team roster will have a goalie and 16 fielders total 17 players minimum and 20 players maximum. To ensure fairness, once a team roster is finalized at the conclusion of registration, there will be no last minute “ringers” allowed to play with a team on any given day, unless approved by league director. No non-roster players may play in the indoor league. Each player will play on his assigned team for the full 8 week season. All fielders will rotate on and off the field in set rotation, ensuring equal playing time for all

How does indoor lacrosse differ from field lacrosse?
The field is smaller than an outdoor lacrosse field and the goals are 4’ x 4’6” rather than 6’ x 6’. There are five fielders and a goalie on the field at once – all short sticks. (Defensemen, this is your chance to score) Fielders run for three to four minutes and then rotate off. Games consist of two 25 minute halves with a brief half time. Scoring is typically higher than field lacrosse. A shot must be taken within 30 seconds of initial possession. The ball must be cleared in 10 seconds. There is no offside rule as in field lacrosse. Checking is allowed, No Cross Checking is allowed. A player may not check another player within three feet of the walls with or with out a stick i.e. “No Boarding”. The ball moves around rapidly in a confined area so full equipment must be worn. Goalies may NOT come out and hit/body check players.

Eligibility:
All players must be in high school. No players that are not in high school will be allowed to play.
