USA WEST LACROSSE was established in 1999 to give lacrosse players from non-traditional lacrosse regions an opportunity to play at the highest international level. USA WEST LACROSSE promotes lacrosse players from outside of the traditional hotbeds of the sport. Athletes eligible for selection are elite-level USLIA players, NCAA players from select varsity programs in Western conferences and locales, and NCAA players at Eastern varsity programs who played high school lacrosse in the West.
Over the years USA WEST LACROSSE All-Star teams have competed
in China, Japan, England, Whales, Germany, Australia and the Czech Republic.
They won the International Friendship Games in Tokyo in 2000 and 2002, the
Beijing Cup in 2002, the 2001 and 2003 Prague Cups and the International
Open tournament in Australia in 2002. |
